Explanation

Project: in pairs we ask questions and fill in a table. The questions are about age, home, the way to school and favourite things, for example: “When is your birthday?”, “Who is your best friend?”, “How do you go to school?”. Then we write about our friend: with he/she the verb takes -s: live → lives, go → goes. For example: “Her name is Zilola. She lives in Gulistan. She goes to school by bus.”

Worked examples
Name: Bobur. Age: 11. Address: 5 Amir Temur Street. Favourite subject: maths. Report: His name is Bobur. He is 11. He lives at 5 Amir Temur Street. His favourite subject is maths.
— Do you live far from school? — No, I don’t. It’s about 600 metres. I go on foot.
Class activity

“Mystery friend”: each pupil writes a five-sentence text about a partner without writing the name. The class guesses who it is.

Practice
1
Ask your partner where they live.
2
Correct the verb: She go to school by bus.
3
Make a question: “Her telephone number is 5-4-3-2-1.”
4
Why live → lives and go → goes?
