Explanation

Types of music: classical music, pop music, jazz, rock. Question: “What music do you like?” — “I like rock but I don’t like jazz.” Instruments: the doira, the dutor, the rubob, the guitar, the piano, the saxophone. We use play with instruments: “I play the guitar.” “My brother plays the piano.” Negative: “I don’t play the piano.” Agreeing: “I like Uzbek folk songs.” — “I do too.” Favourite singer: “My favourite singer is ...”.

Worked examples
I like pop music but I don’t like rock. My sister plays the piano. My father plays the dutor and my uncle plays the doira. We all like Uzbek folk songs.
— What music do you like? — I like jazz. — I do too! Do you play an instrument? — Yes, I play the guitar.
