Explanation

A habitat is the place where an animal or plant lives – its “home”. Main habitats: the forest, the mountains, the desert, the ocean, water (rivers, lakes). Animals: wolf, fox, deer, bear, hare, lion, camel, varan, lizard, tortoise, turtle, shark, whale, dolphin, crocodile, giraffe. Plural: wolf → wolves, fox → foxes, tortoise → tortoises, deer → deer (no change). Question: “Where do camels live?” — “They live in the desert.” Lizards and varans also live in hot deserts.

Worked examples
