Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Darslab (darslab.com) is a free education website with lessons, quizzes and homework for school students. We collect as little information as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Using Darslab without an account

You can read every lesson and take every quiz without an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number or email. Some settings and quiz progress may be saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device only. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

2. If you create an account

To keep marks, stars and badges, a student can create an account. We store only:

  • a username (a nickname; please do not use your real full name),
  • the password, stored only in encrypted (hashed) form, so nobody can read it, including us,
  • the grade,
  • quiz results (scores and dates), from which marks, stars and badges are calculated,
  • a recovery code, used to reset a forgotten password.

We use this information only to show the student's results, marks and badges, and to keep the account secure. We do not sell it and do not share it with anyone for marketing.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

  • Session cookie: keeps you logged in to your account. It is needed for the site to work.
  • Local storage: remembers settings and progress on your device.
  • Advertising cookies: set by Google, see section 4.

4. Advertising

Darslab stays free thanks to advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are never shown inside lesson text or quizzes.

Because Darslab is made for children, we ask Google to treat the site as child-directed. This means ads are not personalised based on a visitor's interests or browsing history. Google may still use cookies or similar technologies for limited purposes, such as preventing fraud, limiting how often an ad is shown and measuring ads.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

5. Children's privacy

Darslab is designed for school students, including young children. We do not ask children for names, contact details or photos, and accounts can be created with a nickname only. We encourage parents and teachers to help younger children use the site. A parent can ask us at any time to delete a child's account and results.

6. Technical data

Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of a visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure. The hosting provider may also run a performance monitoring script.

7. Who can see your data

Only Darslab and our hosting provider, which stores the data on our behalf. We may disclose information only if the law requires it.

8. Keeping and deleting data

Account data is kept while the account exists. To delete an account and all its results, email us from any address with the username, and we will delete it.

9. Security

The site uses HTTPS, passwords are stored only in hashed form, and repeated wrong passwords temporarily block login attempts.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
