Seasons and summer holidays

The seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter. Describing a season: “In spring it’s warm and the trees are green.” “In summer it’s hot and sunny.” “In autumn it’s cool and the days are shorter.” “In winter it’s cold and there is snow.” Favourite season: “My favourite season is spring because the trees are green and I can fly a kite.” With seasons we use in: in spring, in winter. Short sentence: “It’s autumn. It’s cool.”
