Explanation
Text about a visit: “The Karims sometimes visit Samarkand. Mrs Karim is a teacher at a university. Her students study history.” With a plural subject (they) the verb does not change: “They visit historical places.” With singular (she) we add -s: “She visits her friends.” Negative: “I don’t swim in the river. She doesn’t swim in the river.” Question: “What do they do on Sundays?” Extra: Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are famous historical cities of Uzbekistan; the Registan is in Samarkand.
Worked examples
