GoalWord order in questions; “Imagine you are ...” speaking as a fantasy dog.
New words
imagine · tasavvur qilmoqhuman · egasi (inson)colour · rangifood · ovqat
Explanation
Word order in questions: question word + do/does + subject + verb: “Where does your cat sleep?” “How often do you wash your dog?” With to be: question word + is/are + subject: “How old is your parrot?” A yes/no question starts with do/does: “Does your rabbit like carrots?” Making a question from jumbled words: sleep / does / where / your / cat? → Where does your cat sleep? Speaking as a fantasy dog: “My human brushes me every evening. My human plays ball with me in the garden.” Here the human is he/she, so the verb takes -s.
Worked examples
My human takes me for a walk every morning. He gives me meat and water. He brushes me on Sundays. He is very kind.
Jumbled: you / pet / have / do / a? → Do you have a pet? Jumbled: your / name / is / what / pet’s? → What is your pet’s name?
Class activity
“Jumbled questions”: the teacher gives jumbled words, groups make the correct question as fast as they can.
