Numbers: 30 thirty, 40 forty, 50 fifty, 60 sixty, 70 seventy, 80 eighty, 90 ninety, 100 one hundred, 150 one hundred and fifty. Teens vs -ty: 13 thirteen – 30 thirty, 15 fifteen – 50 fifty, 18 eighteen – 80 eighty. Question: “How long can horses live?” — “They can live about 25–30 years.” Some approximate facts: dogs live about 10–15 years, elephants about 60–70 years, giant tortoises can live more than 100 years. A story in the past: “A little goat lived on a farm. Every morning it ran to the river...” Question: “Was the goat brave?”

Worked examples
How long can elephants live? They can live about sixty or seventy years. How long can giant tortoises live? They can live more than one hundred years.
Last spring a baby camel lived at our zoo. Children visited it every day. It liked carrots. The keeper gave it carrots two times a day.
