Explanation

Programmes: a nature programme, a sports programme, a music programme, a comedy, a cartoon, a horror film. Question: “What programmes do you like?” — “Cartoons and sports programmes.” Reason: “I like cartoons because they are fun.” On a schedule: “What’s on Channel 4?” Wanting to watch: “I want to watch a cartoon on Channel 5 at half past six.” About another person: “My partner wants to watch ...”. Remember: he/she wants. We watch TV for a limited time and choose programmes with our parents.

Worked examples
I like nature programmes because I love animals. My brother likes sports programmes. My mum doesn’t like horror films. We all like cartoons.
— What do you want to watch? — I want to watch a music programme on Channel 4 at six o’clock. — My partner wants to watch a cartoon at seven.
