GoalReview Unit 3: a presentation about a famous person (with questions).
New words
famous · mashhursinger · qo‘shiqchilook like · ko‘rinishlove · sevmoq
Explanation

Presentation plan: 1) Where is s/he from? 2) What does s/he do? 3) What does s/he look like? 4) Why is s/he famous? Example: “Dilfuza is a young singer. She is from Tashkent. She’s tall and thin. She has long, dark hair and brown eyes. She’s famous because she sings beautiful songs about Uzbekistan. She often gives concerts.” s/he means he or she. In the presentation we use earlier lessons: has + adjectives, is/isn’t, the past (was born in ...).

Worked examples
Our famous person is a footballer. He’s from Samarkand. He’s tall and strong. He has short, dark hair. He’s famous because he scores a lot of goals. Many children love him.
— Who is she? — She’s a famous chess player. She’s very young. She has long, curly hair.
Class activity

Practice
1
Ask about his/her job.
2
Ask why s/he is famous.
3
Describe: tall and strong, short hair.
4
