New words
active · faolscore · natijaSouthern Hemisphere · janubiy yarim sharAustralia · Avstraliya
Explanation

Activity quiz: “How active are you? What do you like doing on a snowy day / at the weekend / in the summer holidays?” We give points for the answers and add them up: the more points, the more active you are. Seasons in Uzbekistan: summer – June, July, August (hot), winter – December, January, February (cold). Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere, so the seasons are opposite: summer – December, January, February (hot), winter – June, July, August (cool). Comparison: “In Uzbekistan summer is in June. In Australia summer is in December.”

Worked examples
In Uzbekistan it’s cold in January. In Australia it’s hot in January. Children in Australia swim in the sea in December, but children in Uzbekistan play snowballs.
On a sunny Saturday I like riding my bike. On a rainy day I like drawing comics. After lessons I like playing basketball.
