Explanation
With he, she, it the Present Simple verb takes -s: wake → wakes, read → reads, play → plays. After -s, -sh, -ch, -x, -o we add -es: wash → washes, watch → watches, go → goes, do → does, teach → teaches. Consonant + y → ies: study → studies. Have → has (irregular). Negative: “doesn’t + base form”: “He doesn’t eat eggs.” (not eats). Order of actions: “Aziza gets up at 7. Then she feeds the cat. After breakfast she goes to school.” Before = earlier, after = later.
Worked examples
Dilshod always wakes up at seven. He washes his face and gets dressed. Then he has breakfast. After this he goes to school. He doesn’t drink coffee.
My sister studies English every day. She watches cartoons in English. She doesn’t watch them in Russian.
Class activity
“A day in mime”: the teacher mimes someone’s routine, pupils say it in the third person: “She wakes up. Then she ...”.
