I have two sisters

Textbook: p. 7
GoalName family members and talk about your family with “have” and the possessive ’s.
New words
parents · ota-onagrandad · bobogranny · buviuncle · amaki, tog‘a
Explanation

Family members: father, mother, parents, brother, sister, grandad (grandfather), granny (grandmother), uncle, aunt. We show what we own with “have”: “I have a sister. We have two cats.” To show who something belongs to we add ’s to the noun: “my friend’s name” (one friend). With a plural noun that ends in -s we add only the apostrophe: “my friends’ names” (more than one friend). Question: “What’s your sister’s name?” Answer: “Her name’s Shoira.” We use her for a girl or woman and his for a boy or man.

Worked examples
I have two brothers and a sister. My sister’s name is Madina. My brothers’ names are Ali and Vali. We have a cat. Its name is Murka.
This is my uncle. His name’s Karim. He has a daughter. Her name’s Laylo. My uncle’s house is near the park.
Class activity

“Family tree”: pupils draw their family tree, label each member and present it to a partner: “This is my aunt. Her name’s ...”.
