Explanation

A paired pronoun is made by using two different pronouns with close meanings together: u-bu (this and that), sen-men (you and I), siz-biz. In a repeated pronoun one pronoun is said twice: kim-kim, nima-nima, o‘sha-o‘sha. In both kinds a hyphen is put between the parts. Pronouns also serve as a base for making new words: from the pronouns “o‘z” and “men” adjectives such as o‘zboshimcha (self-willed), o‘zbilarmon (know-it-all), manman (conceited) were formed. Combinations like o‘zidan ketmoq (to lose oneself), o‘ziga kelmoq (to come round) are set phrases: their overall meaning cannot be understood by translating their words one by one.

Worked examples
U-bu haqida gapirib o‘tirmay, ishga kirishdik (Without talking about this and that, we got down to work). — a paired pronoun, with a hyphen.
Bayramda kim-kim kelganini daftarga yozib qo‘ydim (I wrote down in a notebook who all came to the party). — a repeated pronoun, with a hyphen.
