Explanation

The accusative suffix is -ni, and its questions are kimni? (whom?), nimani? (what?), qayerni? (which place?). A word in this form names the thing that the action passes directly onto, so it links to a transitive verb and is always an object in a sentence: Ukam derazani ochdi (My brother opened the window). If such a word stands right next to the verb and names a thing in general, -ni is often left out: Ukam deraza ochdi. But if another word stands between the word and the verb, or if the word is a person's or place name, a pronoun or a participle, -ni must be written: Derazani asta ochdi (He opened the window slowly); Nodirani kutdim (I waited for Nodira); Uni tanidim (I recognised him); Ko‘rganimni aytdim (I told what I saw).

Worked examples
Gulni sug‘ordim (I watered the flower) — “gulni”: nimani? object. Gul sug‘ordim — -ni has dropped.
Zarifani chaqirdim (I called Zarifa); seni kutdim — -ni does not drop in a proper noun or pronoun.
Class activity

“Is -ni there?”: the teacher says a sentence (“Men non yedim”, “Men nonni mazali yedim”) and you justify the place of -ni.

Practice
1
Which questions does the accusative answer?
2
Write “Men rasm chizdim” in the full form with -ni.
3
