Explanation

Words that express affirmation and negation are called affirmation and negation words. Affirmation words: ha, xo‘p, mayli. Negation words: yo‘q, mutlaqo. These words often serve as an answer to a question with the particle “-mi”. For example: — Darsni tayyorladingmi? (Did you prepare the lesson?) — Ha (Yes). If the sentence continues after an affirmation or negation word, a comma is put after it: Ha, tayyorladim. Yo‘q, hali tayyorlamadim.

Worked examples
— Choy ichasizmi? (Will you have tea?) — Mayli, rahmat (All right, thank you).
— Bu to‘g‘rimi? (Is this right?) — Yo‘q, bu xato (No, this is wrong).
