Buildings: first floor, second floor, elevator, roof, basement, garage …
Floors use ordinal numbers: first, second, third, fourth. In American English the “first floor” is the ground-level floor. An “elevator” is a lift (in Britain it is “lift”). “Stairs” is always plural. A “basement” is a floor under the ground, an “attic” is a room under the roof, the “roof” covers the building, and a “garage” is where a car stays. Safety: do not play in an elevator, do not go on a roof without an adult, do not run on stairs, and enter attics and basements with an adult. Sentence: “The garage is next to the house.” “The attic is above the second floor.”
“Floors of a building”: draw a four- or five-floor building on the board. Children put person cards on floors: “The doctor is on the second floor.” Take turns asking “Where is the doctor?”
