Explanation
When we talk about someone’s hair in English, the describing word comes before the noun: “dark hair”, “curly hair”. We can give both color and shape: “long curly hair”. “Fair hair” means light, yellowish hair. “Glasses” is always plural: “She wears glasses.” Sort the words: dark, fair, red tell the color; straight, curly tell the shape.
Worked examples
Dilnoza has long straight dark hair. Her brother has short curly hair.
My grandfather has fair hair and he wears glasses.
Class activity
“Mystery classmate”: a child describes a classmate’s hair without saying the name: “She has long dark hair. She wears glasses.” The class asks “Is it Madina?” The child who guesses gives the next description.
