shopping mall · savdo markazisquare · maydonsubway station · metro bekatihotel · mehmonxonatraffic light · svetoforcrosswalk · piyodalar o‘tish joyi
Explanation

These words help us read a town map. Tashkent has a metro – in American English it is a “subway station” (in Britain it is “underground”). A “traffic light” is a signal: red means stop, green means go. A “crosswalk” is the place to cross the street. Cross only at a crosswalk, on a green light, after looking around. Plurals: museum → museums, bank → banks, restaurant → restaurants. “There is a museum” (one) and “There are two banks” (many).

Worked examples
There is a big square in the center of our town.
The hotel is near the subway station.
Class activity

“Draw the map”: pairs draw six buildings in a notebook and write the English names. Then they describe the map without showing it: “There is a bank next to the hotel.” The other pair draws it, and they compare.
