Explanation
“Want to be” means wishing to become something. Question: “What do you want to be?” Answer: “I want to be a pilot.” About someone else: “He wants to be a singer.” With he/she we say “wants” (with -s). Yes/no question: “Do you want to be a pilot?” – “Yes, I do.” / “No, I don’t.” For he/she: “Does she want to be a vet?” – “Yes, she does.” / “No, she doesn’t.” Reason: “because I like animals”.
