Height and numbers 1–100: How tall are you?

Textbook: p. 8
GoalSay numbers 1–100; ask and say height: “How tall are you? I’m 1 meter, 25 centimeters.”
New words
centimeter · santimetrmeter · metrHow tall are you? · bo‘yingiz qancha? How high is it? · qanchalik baland?
Explanation

The tens: ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, one hundred. Careful: forty has no “u”! Do not mix up the “-teen” numbers (13–19) and the “-ty” numbers (30–90): thirteen / thirty, fifteen / fifty. From 21 to 99 we use a hyphen: twenty-one, sixty-seven. 100 centimeters = 1 meter. We use “tall” for people and “high” for things: “How tall is Ali? He’s 1 meter, 32 centimeters.” “How high is the table? It’s 75 centimeters.”

Worked examples
