Explanation

The value: be a good sport. A good sport is honest and kind both when winning and when losing: shakes hands with the other player, says “Good game!”, and respects the referee. To check how someone feels: “Are you OK?” Answer: “Yes, I think so.” or “No, I don’t think so. I have a backache.” Then: “Oh dear!” or “Oh, good!” Sound: “sp” – spider, spin, special, spoon.

Class activity

“Good sport”: a mini contest (throwing a paper ball into a basket). The losing team says “Good game!” and shakes hands. If someone falls: “Are you OK?”
