Explanation

At the end of the year we collect the main terms studied in one place and make a glossary. Pronoun and its kinds, nominals, lexical and relation forms, possessive, case, declension, possessor and possessed (qaratqich, qaralmish), head and dependent word — these are terms about word classes and word forms. Postposition, conjunction and particle name the auxiliary words, while interjections, imitative and modal words form a separate group. The terms “pure and functional”, “coordinating and subordinating”, “single and repeated” are used to divide words into kinds. Define each term in your own words and fix it with an example.

Worked examples
Case — a form showing the relation of a noun or pronoun to other words in the sentence; example: maktabga.
Modal word — expresses the speaker's attitude; example: albatta.
Class activity

Glossary of terms: each pupil writes three terms with definition and example to make a class glossary.

Practice
1
What is declension?
2
Name three kinds of auxiliary words.
3
For which words are “pure” and “functional” used?
4
Why is knowing a term without an example not enough?
