GoalChants: food and health – the book’s chants on page 103 and our own.
New words
chant · chantlines · qatorlarrhyme · qofiyarhythm · ritm
Explanation

On page 103 the Unit 5 chant practices “How often do you have … for lunch?” with answers like every day and never; the Unit 6 chant practices “Can you … today?” and “No, I can’t. I have a …”. We make our own chants: question – answer – reason. Example: “Can you swim today? No, I can’t. I have a cough. I stay at home!” Clap the rhythm.

Worked examples
How often do you have soup? Every day, every day! How often do you have chips? Never, no way!
Can you run today? No, I can’t. I have a cold, so I rest.
