Words for names, actions, features and numbers

Textbook: Part 2, topic 11, pp. 56–71
GoalKnow that words can name a person or thing, show an action, a feature or a number.
New words
name · nomaction · harakatfeature · belginumber, amount · sanoq
Explanation

Words show different meanings. Name of a person: Ibrohim, Madina. Name of a thing: qalam (pencil), daftar (notebook). Action: yugurdi (ran), yozdi (wrote). Feature: qattiq (hard), sariq (yellow), chiroyli (beautiful). Number: beshta (five), uchta (three), o‘nta (ten). To know which kind a word is, we ask it a question.

Worked examples
Madina (Kim? — who?), kitob (Nima? — what?), o‘qidi (Nima qildi? — what did it do?), qizil (Qanday? — what kind?), uchta (Nechta? — how many?)
Uchta qizil olma pishdi. (Three red apples ripened.) — uchta: number; qizil: feature; olma: thing; pishdi: action.
Class activity

“Five columns”: five columns on the board: who, what, did what, what kind, how many. Children stick word cards in the right column (Salim, qalam, yozdi, tez, to‘rtta).
