Explanation

A presentation (taqdimot) gives detailed information about something, an event or some work. It should be clear, interesting and useful. First we state the topic, then we give the main information, and at the end we thank the listeners. Visual aids such as pictures, diagrams, objects or videos keep listeners from getting bored. The Olympic Games are held once every 4 years — one can make a presentation about this too.

Worked examples
“The football”. Dear friends! Today I will tell you about the football. It is round and light. The ball is sewn from leather or a special material. Footballers kick it with their feet. Here in the picture you can see the ball. Thank you for your attention!

Class activity

“Mini presentation”: each child gives a 1-minute presentation about their pencil or notebook: its name, colour, what it is for. Listeners ask questions.
