Explanation

A sentence expresses a complete thought. It is made of words, but any row of words is not a sentence. The words must be linked correctly by meaning. The first word of a sentence starts with a capital letter. “Sardor telefon uy” is not a sentence. “Sardor uyda rasm chizdi.” (Sardor drew a picture at home.) is a sentence.

Worked examples
Sentence: Samolyot osmonda uchyapti. (The aeroplane is flying in the sky.) Not a sentence: samolyot, osmon, katta.
“Bahor keldi.” (Spring has come.) — the thought is finished. “Bahor ...” — the thought is not finished.
Class activity

“Living sentence”: each child holds one word card (Bolalar, bog‘da, o‘ynayapti). They line up in the right order to form a sentence. If the order is wrong, the class says “Not a sentence!”
