Spelling with x and h

Explanation
X and h can change the meaning of a word: xol is a beauty spot on the face, hol is a state or condition. So we must write the right letter. In dasturxon (tablecloth), oshxona (kitchen), kutubxona (library) we write x. In mehmon, hovli, hayvon we write h. If we are unsure, we look in the spelling dictionary.
Worked examples
Yuzida xol bor. (There is a beauty spot on her face.) Uning holi yaxshi. (He is doing well.)
mehmonxona (guest room) — m-e-h-m-o-n-x-o-n-a: both h and x in one word.
Class activity
“X or h?”: the teacher writes a word with a gap (pa_ta, me_mon). Children answer by holding up one of two cards, x or h.
