Explanation
Every sentence is about someone or something and says something about them. To find who or what it is about, we ask Kim? or Nima?. To find what is said about it, we ask Nima qildi? or Nima qiladi?. We underline the word that tells who or what once.
Worked examples
Shamol bargni uchirdi. (The wind blew the leaf away.) Nima? — shamol. Nima qildi? — uchirdi.
Haydovchi avtobusni haydadi. (The driver drove the bus.) Kim? — haydovchi. Nima qildi? — haydadi.
Class activity
“Picture — sentence”: the teacher shows a picture. Children make a sentence, ask “Kim?” or “Nima?” to find who or what it is about, and underline it on the board.
