How often do you eat fast food?

Textbook: p. 46
GoalAsk “How often …?”; give opinions about fast food with because.
New words
fast food · tez ovqatexpensive · qimmatcheap · arzonoften · tez-tez
Explanation

To ask about frequency: “How often do you eat fast food?” Answers: “Every day / Often / Sometimes / Once a week / Twice a month / Never.” Once = one time, twice = two times, three times … Give the reason with because: “I often eat pizza because it’s tasty.” “I don’t often eat burgers because they’re unhealthy.” Opinions: fast food is quick, tasty and sometimes cheap, but it is unhealthy if you eat a lot, because it can have a lot of fat, salt and sugar. Reporting about another person: “Askar often eats fast food because it is delicious.” (he/she takes -s).

Worked examples
“Fast food survey”. We asked five friends: How often do you eat fast food? Dilya never eats it because it’s unhealthy. Sardor eats it once a week because it’s fast. Aziza sometimes eats it with her friends. Timur eats it only twice a month because it’s expensive. Most of us think home food is the best!
— How often do you eat fast food? — Once a week. — Why? — Because it’s fast and tasty.
