Explanation

A timeline shows life events in order of years. Question: “What happened in 2018?” — “I started school.” About birth: “I was born in 2013.” “My parents were born in 1985.” The Past Simple of be: I/he/she/it was; we/you/they were. Other verbs: start – started, learn – learned, move – moved, get – got, go – went, visit – visited. Use in with years: in 2018. Negative: “I wasn’t born in Tashkent.” Question: “Where were you born?” — “I was born in Fergana.” Order words: first, then, after that.

Worked examples
“Zarina’s timeline”. Zarina was born in 2012 in Samarkand. In 2018 she started school. In 2021 she learned to swim, and in 2023 she moved to Tashkent with her family. Last summer she visited Bukhara. What happened in 2021? She learned to swim.
