Working with a text and vocabulary

Textbook: p. 95
GoalWork on a text describing wind and nature; observe the spelling of words with ng, sh, ch.
New words
downpour · jaladrop · tomchiearly dawn · saharclear, pure · musaffo
Explanation

Mini-text: “At night a downpour poured. Raindrops kept tapping on the window. At early dawn the clouds broke up and a clear morning came. The flowers in the garden, washed clean, were blooming as if they had put on new clothes.” Synonyms of «tong» (dawn): sahar, subh. In the text nature is personified: the rain «tapped» on the window, the flowers bloomed «as if they had put on new clothes». While working on the text choose a title, find synonyms and write out words with ng, sh, ch.

Worked examples
Sahar and subh — synonyms of «tong».
In «tong» ng is one sound; in «tinmay» n and m stand side by side.
