Explanation

Phonetics studies the sound system of speech. Graphics studies the letter system of written speech. A sound is spoken and heard; a letter is written and seen. The Uzbek alphabet has 26 letters, 3 letter combinations (sh, ch, ng) and 1 apostrophe sign (’). Vowels: a, o, i, u, e, o‘; consonants: b, d, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, x, y, z, g‘ and others. Review question: which units link speech and writing? Answer: sound and letter.
