Writing words separately

Textbook: p. 105

writing separately · ajratib yozishnothing · hech narsaa moment · bir zumalways · hamma vaqt
Explanation

Words like har (every), hech (no), bir (one), bu, shu, o‘sha (this, that), hamma (all) are written separately when they form a phrase with the following word: har yili (every year), hech kim (nobody), bir kun (one day), o‘sha joyda (in that place), hamma joyda (everywhere). However, a few words made with them are written together: biroz, birpas, birvarakayiga — these must be remembered. Phrases repeated with the suffixes -dan and -ga are also written separately: oydan oyga (from month to month), qishloqdan qishloqqa (from village to village). Two-word place names whose first part ends in -iy are written separately too: Sharqiy Osiyo, Janubiy Amerika.
