Practical lesson: creative projects in a graphics editor
Textbook: p. 84
GoalPlan, make and evaluate a creative project in a graphics editor.
New words
project: a planned piece of work with a result · loyihacollage: a picture made from several pieces · kollajname badge: a small card with a person’s name · ism yorlig‘i (beydj)criterion: a point used to judge the work · baholash mezoni
Explanation
In this practical lesson we use everything learned about the graphics editor in a creative project. Choose your own theme, for example: a garden after the rain, the front page of a class newspaper, a design for a school bag of the future, or a poster for a book exhibition. Stages: idea and plan, choose pictures and colours, work in layers, add text, check the result and save (a layered copy and a PNG). Make the project from material you drew yourself or have permission to use. Criteria: idea, tidiness, colour harmony, readable text, and the file properly named and saved.
Worked examples
Poster project: an 800 × 600 document; layer 1 – background, layer 2 – main picture, layer 3 – title; date and place at the bottom. File name: poster_book_week.png.
A name badge: 350 × 200 pixels. It shows only a name and grade; no phone number or address is included.
Class activity
“Exhibition”: the works are shown on screen; each author explains the idea in 30 seconds and classmates give “stars” by criteria (idea, tidiness, colours, text).
