CLIL Physical education: what kind of body movements can we make?
Textbook: pp. 22–23
GoalName body movements: turn, shake, bend, stretch, kick, and link them to sports.
New words
turn · burilmoqshake · silkitmoqbend · egilmoqstretch · cho‘zilmoqkick · tepmoq
Explanation
In sports we make many movements: in football we “kick” the ball; in gymnastics we “stretch” and “bend”; in dance we “turn” and “shake”. In commands the verb does not change: “Stretch your arms!” “Turn left!” “Bend your knees.” Think about which sport uses which movements. Safety: warm up slowly before exercise; if something hurts, stop and tell an adult.
Worked examples
Stretch your arms up. Now bend and touch your toes.
In football we kick the ball. In dance we turn and shake.
