Listening and speaking: what do you usually have for lunch?

Textbook: p. 63
GoalListen and speak: “What do you usually have for lunch?”
New words
lunch · tushlikbreakfast · nonushtadinner · kechki ovqatusually · odatda
Explanation

Listening plan: 1) read the questions; 2) wait for food words and for “usually / sometimes / never”; 3) check your answers the second time. To speak: “What do you usually have for lunch?” – “I usually have soup and bread.” Healthy eating: fruit and vegetables, plenty of water, and fewer sweets.

Worked examples
“Lunch at school”. At our school, lunch is at twelve o’clock. I usually have soup and bread, and I sometimes have pasta. My friend Nilufar always has a salad, and she never has chips. Our teacher says fruit is good for us, so we have an apple every Friday. On Mondays we sometimes have cookies. I like lunch because I can talk to my friends.
Class activity

“Lunch interview”: partners ask “What do you usually have for lunch? How often do you have fruit?” They write the answers and report to the class.
