Explanation

“Would you like to …?” is a polite question about what someone wants. Answer: “Yes, I would. / No, I wouldn’t.” or “Yes, I’d love to.” A zookeeper feeds animals, cleans their homes and takes care of them. When you read, find the main idea of each paragraph. Only trained workers go close to the animals – children never go into a cage.

Worked examples
“A day at the zoo”. Rustam is a zookeeper in the city zoo. He gets up early and comes to work at six. First he prepares food for the animals. The gorillas eat fruit and vegetables, and the penguins eat fish. Then he cleans the enclosures. At ten o’clock the visitors arrive, and he answers their questions. Rustam says his job is hard, but he loves it. He thinks the parrots are noisier than all the other animals!
