Listening and speaking: where do you want to work?

Textbook: p. 41
GoalListen and talk about where you want to work.
New words
outdoors · tashqaridain an office · ofisdawith people · odamlar bilanwith animals · hayvonlar bilan
Explanation

Before listening: 1) read the questions; 2) wait for key words (job, place); 3) check on the second listening. The teacher reads the text below slowly. To speak: “I want to work in a hospital. I want to work with animals. I want to work outdoors.” Give a reason: “because it’s interesting / because I like helping people”. “Work with” says who you work with; “work in” says where.

Worked examples
“Where do I want to work?”. My name is Gulnora. I like animals very much, so I want to be a vet. I want to work in a clinic in the city. My friend Akmal wants to be a pilot. He wants to work at an airport and fly to many countries. My brother Sanjar wants to work outdoors because he loves nature. Nobody in my family wants to work in an office!
