What does he do? Where does she work?

Textbook: p. 39
GoalSay “What does he do? – He’s an artist.” and “Where does she work? – She works in a studio.”
New words
What does he/she do? · u nima ish qiladi?Where does he/she work? · u qayerda ishlaydi?studio · studiyahospital · kasalxona
Explanation

To ask about a job: “What does he do?” Answer: “He’s an artist.” Workplace: “Where does she work?” – “She works in a studio.” Careful: with he/she/it the verb gets -s: work → works. But in a question with “does” the verb stays the same: “Where does she work?” (not works). Workplaces: hospital, school, studio, office, airport, theater. We usually say “in a hospital”, “in an office”; “at an airport” and “at a school” are also correct.

Worked examples
What does your mother do? She’s a doctor. She works in a hospital.
Where does he work? He works in a theater. He’s an actor.
Class activity
