Simple and complex plans

Textbook: p. 22
GoalDistinguish simple and complex plans and turn a simple plan into a complex one.
New words
simple plan · sodda rejacomplex plan · murakkab rejaitem · bandsub-item · kichik band
Explanation

In a simple plan the topic is divided into parts once, in one stage. In a complex plan each of these parts is divided again into smaller items. An essay with a simple plan also has an introduction, main part and conclusion, but in a complex plan they are much clearer. Making a complex plan takes more work but makes writing easier: what to write in each item is known in advance. Large or many-sided topics usually get a complex plan. When planning, items unrelated to the topic are removed.

Worked examples
Simple: 1. Nature in spring. 2. Navro‘z. 3. Farmers’ work.
Complex: 2. Navro‘z: 2.1. History of the holiday; 2.2. Sumalak and national dishes; 2.3. Folk games.
Class activity
