Working with a text and dictionaries
According to the story, Abu Rayhon Beruniy rested only two days a year: on Navro‘z and on the day the wheat harvest began. On Navro‘z he dressed festively, first met his relatives and then his friends and talked with them, then went out to the fields and spent the whole day ploughing and planting. On the harvest day he too dressed like a farmer, reaped wheat from morning till evening and told those who greeted him that this work was his rest. For a scholar busy with writing, reading and experiments, field work was true rest; he considered wasting time the greatest loss. The text has figurative phrases: “rizqimni teryapman” — I am gathering my harvest, I am working. Pay attention to the words that link the sentences in meaning (keyin, so‘ng, ham).
Life truth: everyone finds a new idea in the text and writes it in one sentence.
