Explanation
The test is an essay. You choose one of the given topics, make a fitting epigraph and plan, then write the text. A synonym dictionary may be used but copying a ready text may not. If the text uses sentences of different purposes (declarative, interrogative, imperative) and both simple and compound sentences in harmony, speech is fluent. After finishing, check spelling, punctuation and word use. Sample topics: “Patience is the key to happiness”, “The book and I”, “The blessing of friendship”, “One of my days”.
Worked examples
Topic “The book and I”. Epigraph: a suitable saying about books. Plan: introduction — books; main part — 1) my first book, 2) books I have read; conclusion.
Style check: if a word is repeated in a row, choose a synonym: “yaxshi” — a’lo, durust.
Class activity
Draft exercise: in 10 minutes write topic, epigraph and plan; swap with a partner to check the plan’s coherence.
