Explanation

A supermarket has sections: the dairy section (milk, yogurt, cheese), the bakery (bread and cakes), the meat section (meat, sausages) and the fruit and veg section. To ask where to buy something: “Where can I buy sausages?” Answer: “Go to the meat section.” or “You can buy sausages in the meat section.” After can the verb has no to: “can buy”, not “can to buy”. A suggestion: “Let’s go shopping!”

Worked examples
“Shopping poem”. Apples, onions, bread and rice, / Shopping with Mum is very nice. / Milk and cheese in the dairy aisle, / Mum says “Hurry!” with a smile.
— Excuse me, where can I buy bread? — Go to the bakery. It’s next to the dairy section.
Class activity
