Explanation

Furniture: a sofa, an armchair, a bookcase, a table, a TV, a clock. To ask about possession: “Does Mr Brown have a sofa?” — “Yes, he does.” Notice does + have (not has). To ask what someone is doing now: “Is he watching TV?” — “No, he isn’t. He’s reading.” With a house number use at: “He lives at 8B Garden Road.” With a city use in: “in Tashkent”. With questions like these you can play detective and find where a person lives.

Worked examples
“My living room”. We have a big living room. There is a sofa and two armchairs near the window. A bookcase stands next to the door and a clock hangs on the wall. In the evening my father watches TV, my mother reads a book and I play chess with my brother. We love this room.
— Does Mr Brown have a sofa? — Yes, he does. — Is he watching TV? — No, he isn’t. He’s reading. — So he lives at 12B Park Road.
