Explanation

Lexicography is the field that studies dictionaries and their kinds. Main kinds: the explanatory dictionary explains word meaning; the spelling dictionary shows correct writing; the translation dictionary gives a word’s equivalent in another language; others are the synonym dictionary, the dictionary of idioms and more. Words in a dictionary are in alphabetical order. This year we studied sounds, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation and work documents. The most important advice: if in doubt, look in a dictionary.
