Explanation
In a “Working with a text and vocabulary” lesson the text is first read carefully and then its main idea is told. The meanings of unfamiliar words are found in a dictionary or from the teacher and written in the notebook. Then questions are answered, a title is chosen and the idea is stated briefly in your own words. Such work raises speech culture and enriches vocabulary. The text below was written to be worked on in this way.
Worked examples
Text: «Yaxshi odam» (A good person). Ali carried an old man’s heavy bag home. The old man blessed him. Ali thought it an ordinary deed, because his parents had taught him that a kind word and a kind deed are signs of humaneness.
