Write in a table what each branch of linguistics studies (phonetics, graphics, orthography, orthoepy, lexicology, morphology, syntax, punctuation).
Phonetics — sounds; graphics — letters; orthography — correct writing; orthoepy — correct pronunciation; lexicology — words and meaning; morphology — word classes; syntax — the sentence; punctuation — punctuation marks.

Write five words and find the number of letters and sounds in each (include sh, ch, ng).
For example: choy (tea) — 4 letters, 3 sounds; tong (dawn) — 4 letters, 3 sounds; shox (branch) — 4 letters, 3 sounds.

Write 5 sentences on «Mening sevimli qushim» (My favourite bird). Count the sounds and letters of one word.
Sample: Men bulbulni yaxshi ko‘raman (I love the nightingale). Bulbul — 6 letters, 6 sounds.

Explain the meaning of «odamiylik» and make two sentences with it.
Odamiylik — the good qualities of a true human being. Sample: Yordam berish — odamiylik belgisi (helping is a sign of humaneness). Odamiylik so‘zda emas, ishda ko‘rinadi (humaneness shows in deeds, not words).
