Textbook: pp. 147–148
GoalFind and explain idioms while working on a text about hospitality.
New words
hospitality · mehmondo‘stliktablecloth, table · dasturxonhost · mezbonrespect · izzat
Explanation

Mini-text: “Our people are famous for hospitality. When a guest comes, the table is laid and the best dishes are brought. The host meets the guest at the gate, his face is bright. When leaving, the guest, satisfied, thanks the host.” Working on the text: find idioms (yuzi yorug‘ bo‘lmoq — to be glad, ko‘ngli to‘q — content), and clarify the words dasturxon, mezbon. Main idea: honouring a guest is our people’s custom.

Worked examples
Dasturxon — a cloth for food or the set table.
Mezbon — the host who receives guests.
