Explanation

By form and meaning relations, words are divided into synonyms, homonyms, antonyms and paronyms. Synonyms have close meanings (katta — ulkan). Homonyms sound and are written the same but have different meanings (yoz — summer, yoz — to write). Antonyms have opposite meanings (baland — past). Paronyms are close in pronunciation and writing but differ in meaning (nafas — nafis, asl — asil). Knowing these kinds enriches speech and prevents errors.
